Okay, I don’t think I’ve ever had someone go out of their way more for a customer as they did for me. I called, believe it or not, more than 30 bakeries in Marin and San Francisco to see if anyone bakes sweet potato muffins for the holidays and no one did. Glyka team actually called me back and said they’d give it a shot and a week later, they called me for a taste test. My husband and I went by and they were delicious, but sweet when we were looking for savory. They gave them to us for free and said they’d call us again for another taste test. Another week goes by, we go on in and they’re perfect! They again gave them to us and we placed an order to serve for our Thanksgiving dinner. We picked them up at 5:00 pm the night before and brought them home hot out of the oven. Not only do I look forward to ordering more for Christmas, but they have a customer for life. I cannot recommend Glyka enough! Cheers!
I needed to find a source for authentic Greek baked goods that would ship to my daughter at college in time for Easter and Effie at Glyka was the fairy godmother that made my wishes come true!! She customized my order to include our family’s favorite Greek cookies as well as the same traditional Easter bread that my mother used to make. When my daughter received the shipment from Glyka Sweets, she immediately texted me “this is CRAZY good!”. Thanks to Effie (and her family’s recipes) for making my family’s holiday so special.
Glyka Sweets surpassed my expectations! I had a last minute request from my son for his favorite Greek desserts. I had NO time to fulfill his request which caused me to feel guilty. Then, I thought of this place… And I am so glad I did! Fast shipping, great packaging …not one displaced or broken cookie! I bought a little extra for a taste test and I am floored…. Kourabiethes and melomakarouna are DIVINE! I’m so glad I ordered and plan to do so AGAIN. These sweets will put a smile on your face. I hope I can keep my hand out of the cookie jar.
